Which software????

I have a uniden 780 &785. I am looking for a fairly simple to use software to program these radios. After the setup and programing of these radios i do not plan on using the software to controll them. I do not think i will need half of the features that come with some of the programs other than the programing aspect.

I was thinking scancat lite

Any idea????

The ARC BC250d-BC796d is a good software to use for these scanners. But for the 780xlt you would have to buy the specific software for it. I don't seem to undersatnd why Butel hasn't incorporated the 780xlt when they redid the latest upgrade for the ARC 2***d scanners.

How about Scan Control? They have a fairly inexpensive Lite version which does programming-only, and 1 module supports both radios. In addition, if you change your mind and decide you want the control option, you would need only to buy the upgrade, so long as the base version is the same.
