I had my scanner programmed and I reset it because I thought I lost my channels and now I don't remember how I programmed it years ago.. for my area. I'm confused if I need to program channels as p25 or just conventional... I know how to program each just don't know if I do one frequently showing as a p25 in a talk group alone and the rest as conventional.. I'm located in Wisconsin in Langlade County. Please help
Thanks

Ok. So I program the one p25 frequency as a p25 auto under talkgroup... And the rest as conventional?

P-25 Auto is for trunk systems. Your frequencies are all conventional. Even the one that is listed as P-25. There will be no Talk groups with conventional P-25. Only RID's (Radio ID's).

Did your scanner have the WISCOM system programmed in for the four TGID's your county has?? If so, that's where you would use Auto.

I realize that it is quite confusing. I've had my 106 for over 12 years and still use it. Though, I've never programmed it by hand.
