Which antenna would you use ?

A folded dipole antenna tuned at 154 MHZ (already installed at 60 feet)

OR

install a new multiband scanner antenna at 30 feet ??

If the feedline on the folded dipole is commercial in nature and you're only listening to VHF-high, then leave the folded dipole in place.

Hard to say.

1) You haven't said what you are using it for?

2) You haven't said anything about the cable, which in many cases is more important than the antenna.

3) you haven't said how well what is there is working for you.

The feedline is Belden 8214...it is our old antenna from when we were on 154 mhz... I am hooking it up to my Pro 96 to it it works pretty good ... So I have this 154 Mhz folded dipole antenna at 60 feet or put up at Radio shack multiband scanner antenna at about 30 feet with coax of some kind i have laying around.......wonder if it would be better or worse...

You still haven't told us what frequency you're intending on listening to. If you're planning on listening to 150 MHz, then you're golden, but if you're going to listen to other bands, then that's a differnet story.

if you are hearing the agencies you want to hear with the existing antenna, why worry. If your not, then you need a different antenna. You can figure this out better than anyone els.e
