I was wanting to know the advantages or disadvantages of doing a factory reset. I was trying to program a trunk system or LWIN system in Louisiana manually. I'm having trouble programming the LWIN system. I was wanting to start over.

I was wanting to know the advantages or disadvantages of doing a factory reset.

The advantage is you get to start over from scratch.

The disadvantage is you lose all the programming you did.

Simple as that.

If you use 0 and 2 when you reset the scanner, memory is not erased. 0 and 1 erases the memory.
