WS1040: Whistler 1040 talk group help.

Hello Everyone,

I once again need some help with my Whistler 1040. When i go to put a second talk group in i get the information from the first talk group. I am trying to set up a talk for Belmont County Fire. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Belmont County OH has its own trunked system. You need to create a separate trunked system for Belmont County. What programming software are you using?

I am not using any software.

Using software makes programming far faster and easier. I use Butel ARC500 Basic for my programming. Do you have the programming cable for your scanner? What do you want to monitor other than Belmont County Fire?

yes i do have the cable. Other than Belmont County Fire and EMS just the WV P-25 radio system is about all. I can't really think of anything else local.

Here is an ARC500 file with Marshall, Ohio, and Belmont Counties to program your scanner. First, download and install ARC500 Basic for the free trial period. Click on Download the DEMO. If you like the software, you can purchase the key later. Butel ARC500 Police Scanner Radio Programming Software Download (scannermaster.com) Second, download and run the CDM20830_Setup.exe cable driver installer. (whistlergroup.com) Save the attached zipped file to your computer and extract. Connect your computer to the scanner with the programming cable (PC/IF jack on scanner). If the cable has a mono adapter on the end, remove it. The WS1040 requires a TRS stereo plug. Open the extracted file with ARC500. Go to the Scanner tab and Upload to Scanner. Scan lists as follows:
