Programming cable PCIF01 (02A19) when connected to ARC500PRO software, upload & download data is working fine. But the Virtual Control does not fully function. Button presses seem ok but the display does nothing.
According to Butel Software, there should be red & green lights flashing in the cable module.
I only have Green flashing, they say red & Green should be flashing. Debug shows com failure:22:07:23 01-06-2024 com error0 constantly. Drivers are upto date as well as Firmware.

Also debug: 16:55:26 01-03-2024 timer10 gb: 1eindevc: 0
16:55:26 01-03-2024 timer 2 / time out gb=1 eindevc=0
16:55:27 01-03-2024 t1: 1
16:55:27 01-03-2024 timer10 gb: 1eindevc: 0
AD

All pc's WIN10
This has been like this out of the box as I was unaware that there is a problem until now.
Is it the cable or something else. This happens on all 3 of my PC's (Lenovo & Asus), so I am ruling out a PC problem. I am waiting for more info from Butel as they are stumped.

Is it the cable or something else.

Look in your Windows Device Manager under "Ports ( COM and LPT)". Is there a COM port assigned to the programming cable? Does the Device Manager show any errors or warnings for the cable?

Is the scanner end of the cable plugged into the PC/IF jack and not the headphone jack?

Is the virtual control screen just a black box? If so, go to Global Settings and click on the Software tab in ARC500. Double click on the black box to the left of VC Backcolor and select the background color you would like for your virtual control screen. The text is black. If the background color is also black, you will not be able to see anything. I had that happen to me.

Look and see if Control Channel Data Dump is turned on in the scanner this turns on a data stream for pro96com and kills remote control if I remember
You need to go to PROG / FUNC / GLOB, scroll down to the bottom of the menu, set CCDUMP to NO, and save it
