Can anyone tell me why My Trunked WS1040 setup will do like a skip a word on long conversation, Kind of like a refresh..? Example Medic giving vitals to the ED department while on call or enroute to hospital.. Ant help on what settings I may try would be of great help.. Thanks, John

Are you using Priority?
Priority Mode
" Conventional Priority Scanning will give priority to conventional objects that have their priority mode set to 'On'. The scanner will sample the conventional objects for activity periodically while scanning and monitoring other objects. This sampling will cause a brief muting of received audio when it occurs while another object is active. "
Sounds like you have Priority turned on
If it skips at a regular interval then priority is most likely enabled. If transmissions skip at random intervals then I'd suspect a weak decode or worse, simulcast distortion

Yes, there is a (p1D) Will will PRI toggle it off and on..?

Lowercase "p" means priority is off. Uppercase "P" means on
I can see along the bottom in any mode (P or p) Wx PRI Check Pops on the LCD under the above display.. Is there a way to stop ALL PRI Checks..? I use the scanner only for Trunked in my area...

i have noted something similar on recordings done with my pro668 periodically. since its pretty irregular, just seems to me like a glitch.
I think it checking the weather Chanel ..??? Wx Sorry... I'm still looking on how to stop it... LOL
