For enter to Factory Test need:
1. Press and hold MENU key while showing "Verifyng Data" screen.
2. Version screen appear.
2. Press UP key, then DOWN key, then ATT key.
3. "Welcome to Machine, Son" (c) Pink Floyd

Press LEFT, RIGHT for navigation.

Same for the WS1080. All my "tests" show "FAIL" The song remains the same ;0)

I presume that to pass you need to feed a test signal, as described on the screen, in to the antenna connector.

I think it's probably used to test and/or during final adjustments or alignment of the scanners before they leave the factory.
