Just off the phone with a rep from whistler,
it seems the TRX 100 and TRX 200 are a bit behind in release

He told me that they should be out the first quarter of 2019
and will cost a little more than theTRX1 and TRX 2

Ive done a good bit of research and plan to make the TRX 200 my new desktop

and then using my uniden bcd 996 t for the RV

have another uniden in my shop

Im really looking forward to the new systems that ill be able to monitor with the TRX 200

I assume they will be priced around $650 which is what the SDS100 is going for. I've been reading a lot of complaints about the SDS, particularly on analog systems, so I'm patiently waiting to see how the Whistler models will perform. I need a solution for simulcast systems, but I also monitor a lot of older analog stuff as well.

I have been reading those bad reports also. So I'll wait for Whistler and make a decision on which one at that time. No hurry for me. I just want a quality product.

I just bought the trx 1 back in the spring, i love it and it is more than i need for my area. I will be holding off buying the trx100 or 200 for awhile. I am still interested to see how it performs though.

It will be interesting to see what type of battery solution Whistler ultimately uses for the TRX 100.

Hopefully four AA cells as in previous models. . . .

I hope they'll do a new RF front-end to improve the current one. It's almost as if strong VHF signals somehow goes down to the oscillator and FM modulates it. It's not enough isolation in the reverse direction between oscillator and mixer?

I am looking forward to the new Whistler, holding off on SDS100 after all the negative reviews. If it does well with VHF unlike the SDS, has AA battery set up that can charge while listening, and have great simulcast, it will be a good upgrade for me, I hope. Never owned a Whistler scanner but it's there customer to lose at this point, surely they can pull off a nice unit.

Sometimes a paper clip works better than a real antenna on the PSR-800+ series.

Whistler TRX200 when?

A paperclip can't fix a faulty CQPSK issue

If you switch from a roof antenna to a paper clip trying to listen to a weak station that are interfered from a strong nearby station, you'll hear nothing. There's no solution to these kind of interferencies in a poorly designed receiver as there are not sharp enough external notch filters available that do not cut out adjacent channels as well.

patiently waiting for the TRX-100 to replace my Pro-668, it still works but no NXDN or DMR. I will send in Pro-688 to Whistler for Update once I get my TRX-100. In the mean time my Pro-688 is great for everyday scanning and I also bought a ICOM R30 for its Continious coverage. the ICOM actually outperforms my Pro-688 scanner in everything except for Trunktracking, the ICOM cant do this. but the ICOM has built in GPS and Bluetooth audio. the GPS can be used to look for Towers I programmed in.

I really looking forward to the TRX-100 its going to have Bluetooth, so no more Wired headphones for
me.I was hoping that Whistler would make the NEW TRX scanners Continious Coverage like the ICOM and AOR scanners are, but I think it might be too expensive for them. Whistler has an opputunity to Start from Scratch with this NEW scanner, but it looks like they will be using the same Display and Keypad of the TRX-1. the good thing is, it looks like they will be keeping the 4x AA power, as I have Enloop Rechargable batteries I can use.

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It had BETTER have a REAL Lithium Ion battery pack, and come with a desktop drop in charger!!! It's ridiculous we have to remove the cover and remove batteries to charge a device in 2018!

It should look like this:
