Whistler VHF low band above 54MHz?

Greetings ladies & gents!

Looking for answers, solutions, suggestions, etc on Whistler being able to scan VHF low band above 54MHz? I'm interested in scanning the CHP remote links in the 72-75MHz band. TRX scanners have that band opened in the E firmware, that anyone can load and try out. But it is still the same hardware using the same bandfilters so the sensitivity are pretty bad. Just around that 75MHz point are the worst and it switches from using the 25MHz-54MHz to the 108MHz-198MHz band filter. With my roof antenna I manage to hear a snowplow at 75MHz on the freeway 800 meters from my house when it was its closest to me for 20-30 seconds.
