Great Avatar Wendy. And yes, it does look like you!!

Now, more to the point, when will the website be up and running?
I see it was down for maintenance through Thursday, but still not working.

Hi everyone -
The good news is we are back up and running on a new website. The DNS records were changed earlier this afternoon and it takes time for them to propagate so you may not see it quite yet depending on your location but it is there. The not so good news is that not all of the downloads have been reloaded. There are a few there now. I actually prioritized getting scanner information back up before some of the other things. It will be updated to it's entirety next week.
Your updates through the PC app will work just fine (as I'm sure most of you have seen today) If you are needing something else that would have been on our website, I'm sure someone on this forum could possibly help you out. If you need to purchase a scanner case, contact our customer service at 1-866-531-0004 and they can process one manually for you.

Please know we are doing our best to move as quickly as possible and understand your frustration.

Now I'm going to go have some happy meals as I haven't gotten to leave for 2 days!

Thank you Windy. Have some good food, and get some rest. I'm sure that it's been a difficult task, and we appreciate you letting us know what's going on.

When I tried to log onto the Whistlergroup main website late yesterday afternoon, I got this crazy warning from Windows 7 saying something like "Warning this website cannot be verified, this user has an unauthorized certificate or something like that blah blah blah". Or words to that effect, I should've got a screen grab, and wouldn't let me in (appeared to be "hacked") because there was some other (definitely not Whistler) verbiage, on that warning screen.

As a side note in Whistler's defense (perhaps/maybe), my own company that I work for was hacked and the hackers wanted ransom money to get all of our data back. Hundreds and hundreds of files and drawings etc etc that were stored on our network system. IT person was called in and ultimately the ransom had to be paid. Now......we have crazy system security to prevent hacking. Just a side note.

Just for the record we didn't get hacked but rather a hardware issue we were not able to recover from. We were planning a new website we just had to do it a little quicker than expected. It is taking for ever for the DNS records to propagate (normal) but should be showing soon.

That's good news Wendy. Apologize for "speculating" a hack.

Does happen though unfortunately. Rock on Whistler!!!

:)

The Russian and Uniden theory was good. HaHa. It would be a compliment that people would want the juicy good cutting edge proprietary technology that everyone wants to copy from Whistler

Is there more coming to the support page of the website? I am looking for the updates, and EZ scan software download for the WS1080. It appears to not be available for download.

Hello,

I am having problems going to the Whistler website with both Firefox and Edge today. There are two problems, both browsers complain about an invalid security certificate and both browsers hang trying to access the site if I ignore the security problem.

Hello,

It turns out that it was not a hang, it takes a long time to error out. It appears the https is not configured properly.

Secure Connection Failed

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

Because we had to redirect the name server (DNS) it takes up to 72 hours to redirect depending on your location. It hasn't flipped for me here in Arkansas either (very frustrating) but I can see that many people can see the site. Unfortunately it may still be a bit before it shows for you (or me).
It's a very long explanation on how DNS propagates but if you are interested in the technology you can google DNS propagation. Hopefully it will be soon.

Sometimes these browser errors are caused by your system date/time being way off from what the browser thinks it should be (and is usually correct about that).
