I just picked up a Whistler WS1010 and it seems to pick up alot of interference on adjacent frequencies, the owners manual isn't much help. Is this scanner wideband or narrowband. Thanks!
You wont get anything, but weird sounds for those under the MODE column with P25, nxdn, dmr as those are digital.
Only ones that analog ws1010 can get is under MODE are FMN - FM Narrow
Assuming you want police that shows as P25, you need a digital scanner, that ws1010 isnt going to work.

Since the WS1010 is a 15 year old design that was supposed to be basic/cheap back then, it probably uses the 25 kHz bandwidth setting known as plain FM (NOT WFM - That's 50 kHz) as NFM (12.5 kHz) was featured only on the PSR-500 series at the time of its release if we keep things within GRE.
Also, it could be intermod with other frequencies or a myriad of things, but 25 kHz wide is what I assume this scanner would be.
