Whistler Ws1040 problems

Need help!!!
Just bought my Whistler ws1040 and I programmed frequencies into scanner, but I don’t hear anything. I tried turning the squelch all the way to the left and still nothing. Any ideas

Hi & welcome. Could you please post the database link(s) to the frequencies or sytem(s) you are having trouble monitoring so we can rule out simulcast distortion, encryption, other possibilities? This will greatly help us help you

If the OP is trying to monitor Clinton County IL, isn't the statewide system P25 Phase II?

Statewide talkgroups and Clinton County are currently operating as Phase 1. Some counties are using Phase 2 talkgroups.
