Based on what I am seeing looks like retail will be 499 ish.

I see that a couple of their BBB complaints were for claiming to have items in stock that were really only "on order" and not available to ship until weeks later, including some that they drop shipped from their supplier. They admitted not knowing if their supplier even had them in stock.

Yes, the 1080 is the Whistler version of the PSR 800.

REF ws-1080 info direct from Whistler.

The only approvals I could find in the FCC database are the Radio Shack models PRO-649 through PRO-652 (analog models and P25 phase 1 models). Nothing under any of the Whistler model numbers and nothing about the P25 Phase 2 models (1080 and 1095).

I bet Uniden is going to try and pull off a firmware upgrade and something to add to the fire before September 1st

That would be nice since we hit 9 months since the announcement video. I love the all black look of the new whistlers. I wish they would have gone with the white display like the PSR-410.
