Have one off these small Diamond x50 vhf/uhf base antennas which I use for general air band and vhf- uhf receiving. It works but obviously appreciatte it's designed for 2mtr and 70cm amateur bands and also could prove better by getting it outside and up in the clear. Just wonder if the Diammond D777 antenna would give me any better results than what I have just now ? Looking for something that will give acceptable performance on airband and around 165 and 470 mhz for general scanner related listening ? Worth spending on something else or again just get the 2mtr / 70 cm white stick antenna outside and in the clear with quality low loss coax ?
