Who is "Spike Main" ? on 30.5250 mhz ?

Hi All
Picking up 30.5250 mhz this morning and hearing call sign Spike Main. They are calling Spike Tac. Hmmm
Oh and put up a new homemade dipole cut to 29 mhz which seems to be working pretty good. Might recut it for 30 mhz but I don't think it would matter that much. Used 300 ohm twin TV antenna line with 300 to 75 ohm balun. Oh, and oriented the antenna parallel to the south east about 8 feet off the ground.

Always cut low band antennas for the lowest freq

Cutting it wont make any difference for that close a freq spread. When cutting a transmit antenna we always cut it for the lowest freq. Working on 2 way radios since 1958 now retired
