Who is using the Decatur DPS EDACS site?

does anyone know who is using the DPS EDACS system in the
Decatur area? I've heard it's used by Decatur Fire, Decatur EMS INC.,
Priceville & Trinity Police + Decatur Police for MDT's. ANY info would
be helpful, I need to know if I should upgrade to a Trunktracker! :?:

Ala DPS EDACS


The person leading the efforts for EDACS for Alabama State Troopers has retired.

Last I heard, the State Ala DPS is going to go to a trunked VHF system down the road. The new car radios are Motorola models capable of being converted to trunking....perhaps even P-25. But that is YEARS down the road.

As to Decatur specifically....others will have to chip in with info. You have a great North Ala Scanner website. I think it is NALSCAN or something like that.
