Why does this happen?

Every now and again on my BC296D, multiple "weather" stations will be automatically programmed into a bank with a completely different system. I have an 800 system in a bank and the other day it kept stopping on the weather channels. I never programmed them into that bank or any bank for that matter. Why does this happen? Anyone else with the same problem?

I don't know whether the 296 has weather priority, but if it does you may be turning it on.
