It's not stuck. New pages are only generated as needed, not by calendar date. It hadn't got to that point yet, but my post pushed it over onto page 212.

I think you're missing the point. Page 212 of 216? See attached. My cookies have been cleared and different browser makes no difference. Also if you try to load that thread in Tapatalk app it's blank because of the load page error.

There's no problem as far as I can see.

4,285 posts divided by 20 posts per page = 214 pages. This does not include posts moved to other threads or merged posts (which I'm not going to waste my time counting). If you did count those, you would probably end up around 212 pages. If you want a faster turnover in page numbers, try changing the number of posts per page to something lower like 5.

Tapatalk does seem to have an issue with large threads. We're pretty up to date on our Tapatalk plugin so you might want to ask them to see if they can fix their bug.

Waiting for the "why is this thread stuck on page 212" thread to begin.....

Actually, the OP's post complained about the thread being stuck on page 211 which is now a moot point since it's on page 212.

You're complaint is different and we've seen this behaviour in the past. Normally it doesn't bother Tapatalk but lately, it seems to crash with some threads but not all. I'm not sure if you're running the betas but it seems to have cropped up a few versions ago.

It isn't a figment of anyone's imagination. There has been issue with that for a couple of weeks now. Every time I attempted to reference a post on that page, I had the issue.

If you go to the link below, for instance, I'm seeing Tom's post now (even though I did a search for Defiance and clicked on the post about Defiance Co MARCS). And if I let the browser sit there on that page, it just keeps reloading and reloading and reloading.

That's not the only link that causes the issue either. I'm using firefox on Win10 -- no Tapatalk - no mobile device.

Yes, following your link does cause my browser to do the continuous reload.

I'll have Lindsay take a look at it. The forum posts might need to be reindexed.

Should we just close that thread and start a new one Mike?

That might be one way to "fix" the issue.

Never been a fan of large threads that you have to search through to find what you want. I prefer individual threads where one question is asked and answered.

However, I seem to be in the minority. Most members seem to prefer one large thread with the information in one place.

I've forwarded a couple of examples of the reload problem to Lindsay. We'll see what he says.

I'm seeing the same issue. I had it happen on one of the large SDS100 threads as well. The page count indicated there was a page after the one I was on. If I clicked the next arrow, I was returned to my current page.

Seeing this as well on Chrome Version 66.0.3359.181 (Official Build) (32-bit)
