In October of 2018 I ordered a BC75XLT. I beat the literal crap out of that scanner and it didn't have any problems, before or after I wore it out. When the local PD agencies switched to P25 in October of 2019 I started debating getting a BCD325P2 and ordered it in February. When I received it it had a small chip on the antenna connector (Now I wish I would've taken a pic of it). I didn't think about contacting Uniden about that chip in it. Over the past month its been chipping off piece by piece and today it looks like this. I wish I would've contacted Uniden support sooner so I could realize how bad and unresponsive there support system is. So now I'm stuck with a BCD325P2 with a broken off. Right now I don't know if there's anything I can do to get it fixed since support wont right back.

How did you contact Uniden Support? Email, or their website?

That is unfortunate. Luckily I have not had the same issue. I swap antennas depending on what I'm listening too, and my daughter has dropped mine down the stairs, and off the bannister a few times. I keep mine in a leather case.

You can contact Uniden support to ask them directly by using the “Start Conversation” button At this link:
Ok I'll try that.

I think the most sturdy scanner Uniden has made in the last 20 or years was the 250/296... I have both and you could beat somebody to death with them and the antenna connector is mounted to the top panel piece, its a solid unit. I'll be more careful with my 325 from now on...

Send your 325 in to Uniden with a copy of the receipt. It's under warranty. They'll fix it. Don't wait until the warranty expires!! I've had mine for years, and it's a good radio. Be sure to print and use the repair form on the support site. Write up what's wrong.

That broken off portion of the bnc sleeve will not hurt anything as long as the locking tabs are still there and securly hold the antenna tight.

They require a full payment from what I understand and once they do/if determine it is covered by warranty they will return the money. At this time I can't afford a repair. Which is why I was trying to contact them to ask if I didn't have to send in payment if its not covered. Although I dobut its not covered.

I put my 800 MHz "radio shack" ducky antenna on my BCD325P2 two and a half years ago or so. After reading this post I took it off and don't see any chipping as you described. Placed it back on and took it off again and still no chipping.
