Why wont scanners take this frequency 0150.7975

It is pending level 2 from the FCC but I can not get the scanner to take the frequency.

That would depend on the scanner in use. Some are setup/preprogrammed to receive only at certain freq intervals or "steps". Usually its less specific than for the freq in question, at least in the VHF-Hi range. Which do you have?

What you see is the beginning of new frequency spacings for "narrowbanding", in this case 7.5kHz down from 15kHz. Unless you have a recent scanner with this step size, you cannot exactly get on the frequency. Up or down, it will be 2.5kHz off in some cases unless the frequency is an even multiple of 7.5kHz.

Here's an example of UHF with 6.25kHz step, down from 12.5kHz:

Notice that the 5th decimal place "5" is chopped off.

If you set the particular channel step size to 7.5k then you'll be able to do it from the keypad.

Yes, that should work.

Interesting note, the BC296/796 and PRO-96 have both 6.25 and 7.5kHz steps, but the BC780 and BC785/250 have only 7.5kHz steps. Anything older than that in common use probably doesn't have either (odd exceptions I expect).
