I was replacing the battery in a calculator.

wait a minute, it's got an antenna circuit in it?

diode, capacitor, "RF"

Ya that was my point. He stated he was replacing the battery. lol. I like posts like this. There's even more of an underlying mystery. It's almost 1 am and the OP is "changing a battery" in a 1980's solar calculator.
This describes a button cell, maybe just out of sight at the top of his 2nd pic?
