Hi all-

I have launched a new feed on ProScan, based out of Franklin. The feed is very busy because it covers a wide area thanks to being centrally located with a great antenna installed. I realize this cuts down on the ability to follow incidents closely like on the typical Broadcastify feeds, but I'm sure you'll find the wide scope entertaining and interesting nonetheless.

The feed covers the following with very good reception:
Milwaukee County 800MHz/Conventional
Waukesha County 800MHz/Conventional
Racine County Conventional
Kenosha County Conventional
WISCOM sites (ID search mode) - Greenfield VHF, Greenfield 800, Milwaukee VHF, Delafield, Union Grove, Kenosha, Rubicon
Milwaukee International Airport/Regional ARTCC comms
Wisconsin State Patrol - SE Region 154.665
and more...

The following have spotty to descent coverage, depending on time-of-day and RF conditions:
Washington County P25 (feed has very good reception of the WISCOM Washington Scan talkgroup via the Milwaukee VHF WISCOM site)
Ozaukee County EDACS
Walworth County Conventional
Jefferson County Conventional (feed has very good reception of the WISCOM Jefferson Scan talkgroup via Delafield WISCOM site)
Dodge County Conventional (feed also has Dodge Co Scan talkgroup, via Rubicon WISCOM site)
Lake County, IL Conventional Fire/EMS & Law Enforcement
McHenry County, IL Conventional Fire/EMS
and more...

For those that haven't used ProScan before, it's pretty great for feed monitoring. You can see exactly what's on the display screen of my BCD536HP. It really takes Alpha Tags to the next level.

You can connect to it by downloading the ProScan Free Client at proscan.org.
Once you download the client, connect to:
Server IP Address or Name: Milwaukee/Southeast Wisconsin
Server Port: 5000
20 clients (users) can connect at once with the current setup..

DISCLAIMER: Since it is my belief that encryption should be used for sensitive radio communications, I do not accept responsibility for what you do with the information obtained from listening to this feed. With that said, I will attempt to not broadcast sensitive and/or otherwise legally protected communications.

Let me know what you think, and enjoy!

All I get is "Client Connection to Server Fail".

I am able to connect to lots of other servers on the "Published Servers List", but the server you list will not connect.

Josh you need to go to the "Remote Scanner Over IP" tab and hit the "Get My IP" Button this will auto fill in your ip address that will be required to connect to your scanner.

I have a BSIT and MIS and port forwarding still manages to get under my skin.

New settings:

Server Name/IP: 65.30.165.49
Port: 5001

Verified functionality using a Verizon hotspot not connected to host network & second PC.

I'm going to take it down for a little bit and adjust some settings to see if I can get it to connect for you guys. I need to push a quick update to the radio anyway.

I saw someone connect to the feed for about 10 minutes. They are no longer connected though.

I'm glad you were able to connect, that must have been you I saw. I've noticed a few others try to connect but I can see they have been immediately disconnected. I'm able to connect with a second PC on a different internet connection, so I'm not sure what problem others are having. I will try to troubleshoot it some more, but I'm coming up blank at the moment.

Make sure to use port 5001, not 5000.

Yeah I just hit the update button then I double click on the you. It will then auto fill the correct info to be able to connect to you. (I run 2 proscan feeds ak4fn.no-ip.org port 9000 and 9001) I'm connected to you now.

Later tonight I'm going to push an update to get rid of some clutter, including some public works and business channels that need to be locked out, and some distant channels that are taking up too much scan time. There was also an issue where Ozaukee County was scanning in non-trunked mode that needs to be fixed for good. So if you notice the feed down for a few minutes this evening, that's the reason.
