Those screens have nothing to do with SDR. Those screens shows what looks like is a system running Asterisk PBX software and it shows SIP related messages.

I got the $300 HandHeldSDR, which is SMALLER THAN THE BLADERF, working with the $2000 RangeNetworks
embedded single board computer as you can see from some of the pictures posted, or at the following website.

We're looking to provide a small batch of Quantity 50 @ $300 each of the HandHeldSDR devices through a Kickstarter / IndieGoGo to get the device working with WinRad.

We'd like assistance connecting the Wideband HandHeldSDR with CW Skimmer Listener software:

CWSL is a set of utilities to allow further use of data from SDR receiver (usrp, qs1r) connected to the Skimmer server. This is done through the special dll CWSL_Tee, whitch acts as driver for another SDR receiver. It is inserted between the real driver of SDR receiver and Skimmer server. Data from the SDR receiver going through this library, which is storing it in circular buffers in shared memory of the computer. All other applications running on the same computer can use it from these buffers.

From CSWL, it connects to WinRad:

Winrad is a free amateur radio program conceived that implements many Software Defined Radio (SDR) functions which are needed for weaksignal reception including EME, troposcatter, cloudscatter, and very long distance microwave terrestrial contacts. It also works well for general HF reception. Winrad will accept input from any Windows soundcard, from Virtual Audio Cable, or direct digital input from several SDR receivers which have appropriate drivers written for Winrad in the form of a DLL plus support files.

All recent versions of Winrad run under Windows 2000, XP, Vista and 1.6.1 has been tested on Windows 7 (32 and also 64 bit) which is inline the Windows GSM Software that is known to work with the HandHeldSDR!

Its a Windows GSM (SDR) application that is connected to the wideband HandHeldSDR that DROPS the call into Asterisk.

Your incorrect!

And as the picture indicates, the MSN Messenger client can SMS message the GSM Mobile Phones that are registered with the wideband HandheldSDR.

We even demonstrated this before the Wireless Innovation Forums Annual event before, guess of ALL the places, Motorola Solutions in March 2014.

No plans to offer anything "receive-only", though you * could * use this device to " receive only ".

I prefer having a device that allows me to receive/transmit on as many radio frequencies as possible.

This device is a full transceiver though able to work with both Windows & Linux OS

Didn't you have another SDR that you developed a few years back similar to the USRP1?

This one looks like it's based on some of the same technology at least from an FPGA, DAC/ADC and clocking perspective but with a new RF front end.

It looks very interesting.

None that I developed

It looks very interesting.

This is a upgraded to the USRP1 but now in a HandHeldSDR version smaller than the BladeRF with Windows GSM BTS & Scanner software.
I remembered when I demonstrated this device before the Wireless Innovation Forum hosted @ Motorola Solutions, they were stunned!

But Motorola is more interested in doing the following:

Hi,

I am running OBTS 5.0 with a RAD1/SDR1, and during a demonstration I got
more and more stability issues. Calls were not connected, or they broke
after one ring, some where connected, but no audio got through, sometimes
even the transceiver stopped transmitting. My first thought was, well, 50++
users are a bit too much :) But later at the hotel room with my usual test
setup with two phones the issues remained the same, if not even being worse.

We believe once this HandHeldSDR is in more people's hands, more useful applications will come as a result of it
offering the public NON Ettus Research / RangeNetworks GNU Radio compatible hardware!

RangeNetworks REALLY pissed us all off by IGNORING the University, and the $2000 they
refuse to refund!

These HandHeldSDRs will be made available but I've been swamped with getting the device to work with TouchScreen Tablets, and other stuff, as well as working towards it being recognized by OpenBTS-UMTS.

Why will it be able to work with OpenBTS-UMTS?

Because RangeNetworks 5150 already was " Talking " to the HandHeldSDR as you can see from the pictures below. I've been busy getting the HandHeldSDR to work with TouchScreen & other devices so please sit tight and YES everyone will be able to obtain this HandHeldSDR!

This is what you'll receive:

Windows GSM Base Station & GSM Scanner Software

1 Mini USB male to USB Male cable

1 AC/DC Power Adapter

1 wideband 33Mhz - 4.4Ghz HandHeldSDR (Smaller than the bladerf)

GNURadio recognizes the HandHeldSDR as a USRP :)

Quantities of less than 10 = $380

Quantities of 10+ = $350

The HandHeldSDR devices will be available for delivery December 2014

HandHeldSDR It includes a device driver, a component that enables the communication and a server interface and we’ve contacted the Authors to prospectively utilize the source code to expand its capabilities!

These HandHeldSDR devices will be including National Instruments Labview Virtual Instruments as part of
the "HandHeldSDR Windows GSM BTS Development Kit "

These Virtual Instruments should work in Labview 2013, Labview 2014, & Labview 2015 :)
