I observed the following behavior in a 536 this evening:
I am receiving traffic on an analog TG for a system that is significantly out of range for the area I am in (sys 6c3f). There is a state prison nearby (sys 270D) that I keep hearing on this TGID (2128). The frequencies for the 2 systems do not match, but are close. The intended system is in the 868.xx50 spacing and the system I am actually receiving is in the 868.xx25. In other words I am receiving a fire operations TG that I am hearing prison traffic on.
How is this occurring? do I have a bandwidth setting messed up perhaps?
Seems as though if the system is set up as a TRS, then the scanner should look for the CC and wait for a TG grant to open up on a particular TG.
Hopefully I explained it clearly.
