That and the Border Patrol show are every good... And all I can say is... Wildlands officers have major b***s. All cops have dangerous jobs, but seriously... Driving around out in those woods at night by yourself, with patch tenders, crazy hunters, and who knows what... And help could be more than an hour away or more. Major guts.

I also enjoyed the premiere episode, as well as the border wars show. Does anyone scan the fish and game channels in the Southern California area? I have only heard a few units sign on and off.

Their system has great coverage and it's a prime example of what basic VHF analog technology can do. I've had their local freq in for a long time, but it's rare to hear much. The bottom line is, I think there just isn't that many of them out there. And they might use phone a lot as well.

I hear a lot of activity in the NorCal Valley area. Most of the time it's registration and DL checks.

In one of the episodes the guy was using Bloomer Mtn.

Opposite for me. I've always seen the green trucks, never blue.

I've seen green, blue, and white. I think they bought different colors in different years, but the last few years green has been the primary color again.
