Here is an easy question for anyone.

I am monitoring a P25 tower nearby that I am not sure what
I am supposed to hear on it.

Unitrunker tells me there is activity there.

On the BCD-536HP is there a wildcard TGID that will pick
up any and every TGID no matter what?

I thought I could use i0 as a wildcard but the 536HP
doesn't receive anything even though Unitrunker does
show activity.

Go in to Sentinel, select "Edit Favorites list" At your system in question double click "ID search or ID scan with the drop down menu by the right side, it will drop down and give you the choice to ID SCAN or ID SEARCH. Select ID SEARCH. All TG's will open the squelch. Every time you reload the scanner it will go with what ever is selected here.
The key pad short cut is to hit MENU then E/yes, this will switch back and forth between SEARCH and SCAN.

According to Mark's Easier To Read Manual....."While scanning each Trunked System, press Func then E/yes.

Re: BCD536HP wildcard TGID to receive everything.

Thanks everyone. I got it to work. This tower is almost useless.
In four hours I only heard about 12 transmissions. It is a part of
TxWARN Project 25 which is a large and very active system.

ATTN UNIDEN: The next time you update the BCDx36HP manual please
include a clear and concise explanation of what a wildcard TGID is, how to
use them, and how to program them into the scanner.

I know I have read somewhere that i0 was the wildcard but now I cannot find
that in writing anyplace.

Thanks all.

That's for Private Calls.

Uniden scanners have used the "Search vs Scan" nomenclature since at least the BC235.

GRE-based scanners use{d) "Wildcard".
