I just got back into scanning, and I have gone digital. I bought a GRE PSR-500. Now I feel like a stupid loser because I don't understand Talkgroups, ID's and Wildcards.
In our area the State PD, and Local PD has gone digital and they used the same system. I have set up a talkgroup for the State PD, and one for the local PD. I have put a wildcard in each group. Now for the confusing part. I can't seem to figure out which talkgroup the wildcard hit goes on? Is there somewhere here on RR, a tutorial on how to program trunks, talkgroups using wildcards?
I'm just a tad overwhelmed comming in from Analog to these new systems.
