Will 500mA power supply work?

Hello! I have a radioshack 9V 500mA AC adapter that I'd like to use to power my Pro-96, which requires 9V 300mA. If I purchase the correct adaptaplug for it, will this power supply work? I dont want to put too much current into my scanner.

You will be fine.

Devices only take the current they need as long as the voltage is correct.
