When this system first came alive i had to set my RS197 to "P25 Manual", the system now works on "P25AUTO" also ????

Were you able to hear everything setting it to 'P25 AUTO' versus 'P25 MANUAL'? IF that's the case, I guess I'll change what I currently have programmed...

I hear Lewis University security using 141, apparently evaluating, numerous complaints about poor signal. This is odd because the campus is very near 2 of the towers.

Last nite when I first heard "Lewis U" security signals were mixed in certain locations but, other users were having a awful time like Braidwood and Romeoville not hearing any signals ....This system needs help!!!!!TG381=Romeoville EMA, TG151=Manhatten-Local....

Ok - I couldn't remember if the dealer in the area advised that before or after the firmware release on the 15th....he replied on the 18th so I guess it still doesn't work.

Yeah, I've heard quite a few users stating they couldn't copy someone. It makes me wonder if some of the weirdness I see on my radio is also happening the system's users. Lewis is so near one tower it is truly line of sight at ground level and another is just below some ground cover. There's no reason why they should have difficulty.

Maybe they changed the control channel frequency, possibly to one that isn't in the database?

Today the CC is 855.0375, its been that for a week, before that it was 854.3375 which was not listed but is now....I hear them fine....

Soo...are you able to hear the system through your Pro-197 programmed as "P25 MANUAL" or "P25 AUTO"?

Fun times, Will County is making changes.
The licenses for the River System, which has been off the air, have been modified as of July 28, to add a transmitter location at Braidwood.
WNNB544 was modified to remove Wescom location, add Braidwood, and add a new frequency, 854.3375, which is included in the current county-wide P25 system. There are now 6 freqs, previously 4 (only 3 were used), in what was the River System. I've only been monitoring one at a time on the USB dongle so far. I am getting weak signal at my location on 854.3375. Am I hearing Braidwood? If that were being used in the county-wide I would get it at full strength like I do the others. I live very near 2 of the sites.

Is the central talk group still active?? Got a Whistler trx-1 and programmed the will county p25 system into it. Been waiting for central group to transmit bbut have not heard anything.. I hear county officers on other groups but not the mokena Frankfort new Lenox and Manhattan departments

Yes I hear them fine here in Joliet on TG20005 and CC856.3875 ….Make sure you pgm all (8) of there freqys…..They been bouncing around there freqys for CC's....
