Will Co Sheriff New Numbering System?

I have been hearing Sheriff units ID as 4-digit numbers in the 1900s and 2000s instead of the usual Nora-60, South-10, Homer-22, etc...

Is this a new numbering system and does anyone know how it works??

I believe they are using their badge numbers now.

I guess we need to copy some of these #'s and match them with location checkins...My GRE500 shows Radio ID's but none match whats being said over the air....
