Will County P25

Does anyone know more about this system, Like if they will have a tower that is more South like the Manhattan one, or is that all the towers that will be is three? Any more info if any one knows will be greatly appreciated

I figure once they start changing over to the new P25 System they will have to incorporate the southern towers from the Edacs system as u mentioned there are (2) in LKPT and one on Provena Hosp.....So far its a 6 freqy system, two freqys being transferred from the Edacs system freqys 7-8 which are being used as CC's....I have stored six TG's so far as the techs test the radios....System sounds very clear in digital, one transmission last week was "ENC", lets hope they all don't end up like Joliet City=sol....

Thank You RoninJoliet , keep me up to date if you would I was really hoping they would redo the south tower, as a tower on the P25 System. I can listen to there EDACS system full signal, but with the P25 System and no south tower as of now I cant really get it until later at night, or when there is "Skip". I'm sure hoping they do, but if not I guess I'm "SOL". I sure hope if I'm able to pick up the CC that they don't Encrypt all Talkgroups, I'm thinking they will more than likely have some Encryption on certain talkgroups, but hopefully none. So I take it I could take the 7th and 8th channel out of the EDACS System since there used for the P25 System.

If you watch the LCN order on the EDACS the 7-8 freqys are not used anymore....I live near Provena Hosp- where one of the sites are located...There going to have to expand there coverage as most of Will Co is south and east....Wonder what your general area is that u can't copy the CC at times....They were keying up and testing TG1332 today....

Yes, I did notice they are not being used. I live along the Kankakee River, Not to far from the State Line in Newton County Indiana. There is woods all around, I'm up about 55 ft. or so. Yes Its a bummer I cant get it as it is, but I sure hope they use the old Manhattan tower or put up a new one closer. Beecher would be very awesome, but I don't think so. Thanks again Brother

Has Will Co. purchased their own private P25 system?

Seems like its "THERE" system and its NOT Starcom....The new license's are issued to Will Co.....

Today Will Co is "patching" the West and East patrol dispatch thru there new P25 Digital system along with EMA-Main on TG's 1840,1841 and 1843.....
