Will Eddy and Nelson County now be dispatched on a different frequency?

For paging they probably will possibly migrate to State Radio Paging on 154.905. Nelson might follow that suit with using the Lake Region repeaters for paging. Eddy I last I thought paged on 154.040 , and might keep that. Some state radio counties have paging on local frequencies.

I wonder if this has been planned for a while because looking through Nelson County licenses each town has their own fire department/EMS frequency and most of them are still active licenses but i never hear anything on the frequencies. Some are from before merging with Lake Region though I think.

Update: Eddy County has recently gotten a brand new license for paging on 163.250 MHZ. Very odd frequency to use for paging.. and it looks like it'll be analog too.

Actually Not odd at all, 163.2500 has been used by many for Decades, mostly was Medical Centers/Hospitals, but has seen an uptick for other entity Paging and even a few Business users as Repeaters

The frequency 163.2500 MHz is designated by the Federal Communications Commission primarily for Medical Radiocommunication Systems (such as medical paging). Under FCC Rule 90.265, it operates on a secondary basis for non-federal use within this band
