Will ht1000 ribless cable work on xts..........?

Recently purchased a Rib-less programming cable which was listed to be compatible for both HT1000 and XTS1500. Here is the cable purchased:

The cable works fine on a HT1000 using RSS on an old Win98 serial port connected laptop.

I am trying to use the same cable on a newer Windows XP computer connected via USB to Serial connector to read a XTS1500 on Astro25 CPS R17.01.02 and I get this error message everytime I try to read radio from all usb/com ports:
"Open Radio Failed Error Context: 24, Status: c000039e".


Any ideas.....?

Sometimes those USB/serial adapters don't work. GARY N4KVE

They do not use the same cable even though they use the same connector. Jedi radios and the XTS3000 use the same cable/RIB setup (RIBless cable actually has a RIB built in) but all Astro25 radios use a different cable. I looked at the listing and it's incorrect to say the 1500 would work.

That IS correct, the cable for the XTS5000 is different.

Thank you for the help as always folks. I found another cable in the same price range from Kawa mall that says will work on the XTS1500. Can anyone tell me if this will work with a XTS1500 on Astro25 CPS R17.01.02.....
