Will my Pro 96 work on this TRS?

I just just saw this TRS, and wondered if the Pro 96 will work on it.

From what Don Starr has said, I don't know. If you can get a Pro96Com capture on it we can get the tables and see...

If only I'd knew about it a week earlier. I was in DC last week and I can't pick up the system from my current location. Maybe somebody close to DC (DC2wheel, or ScanmanQSL) could give it a try. I don't have any plans to go down there in the near future.

Cant get the right freq in my 96

I'd like to give this a try but there's one problem...I can't get the exact frequency to program correctly.
XXX.2125 comes up as XXX.21500

How can I get the PRO-96 to accept the correct freqs?

You can't do anything about changing the step size but it should work fine with the frequency it changes to.

well let's see, that was entered for massachusset's so how that ened up in dc i don't know. that system isn't around here.

I picked it up with a beam when I was in Crystal City, VA. It seems to be either in NE DC or Maryland. See this thread.

Thing is that type of trunk system isn't around here though, and i go thru DC everyday. Try a little experiment, take 10.7mhz which is basically the if freq of every scanner made multiply it by 2 and then add it to the frequencies you think it's on and see if it doesn't come up to the new trunk system that is around dc that is totally encrypted. What you guys might be receiving because all of the rf in this area is the image of the new trunk system 21.4 mhz down from where it is. Just a place to start.

That works with older superhet designs, but with DSP on a PRO96 that might change the rules. Besides, some of the older scanners had a 10.8 Mhz IF, others (like some older Radio Shacks) had a 10.75 Mhz IF.

It's much more likely that it's a mix product from overloading or intermod. If you slap an attenuator on, do you still hear it?

Several people over on the trunker mailing list have picked it up as well. It does not appear to be a high power system and the Pro-96 is deaf in the milair band.
So far no success with a Pro-96.

380 MHz to 400 MHz was opened up for Federal trunked radio systems. I picked up the signals on both an AOR 8600 and Uniden 796D from Crystal City, VA. I also picked it up with a Uniden 250D using a rubber duck on a train going through NE Washington. I searched 406 to 420 MHz several times and did not come across a 9600 Baud system, only the usual 3600 Baud Motorola and Passport LTR systems.

The two listed frequencies that I suspect are the voice channels for the system were P25 and not encrypted. Based on the radio traffic I suspect a user is the Walter Reed Army Hospital. This could be a Low Power system for the hospital area as I did not hear anything that would suggest another location. I suggest someone take a Pro-96 to the area of Walter Reed Hospital and see if they can receive it and trunktrack it. I am too far away now.

So my guess is correct. It is the Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
