Will Volume Offset raise volume when streaming?

I was wondering if the Volume Offset would raise the volume when streaming using the back port? My streaming audio is a little bit too low than I would like it to be, so I’m hoping that if I raise the volume using the volume offset if that it would apply to external audio as well, but I wanted to ask first before I did any changes.

You are being overly cautious. Volume Offset is an offered feature of the scanner and using it will do no harm to your scanner. Using this feature, meaning investigating if it will help you is what should be done first. Then, you may choose to offer your findings here for discussion, or not.

I was wondering if the volume offset would help raise the sound that I’m streaming to my computer as the sound is to low.

Volume Offset is per channel and may not be the solution. If the audio is low in general then I would try to find out where the problem is.
It could be the scanner, cable, mixer settings, or software.
What is the scanner model? Which rear port are you using? What software are you using?

I am using a BCT15X and was using Scannercast, I have switched to another program this morning called “Broadcast using this tool” and that seems to have fixed the issue as that program actually has a mixer in it.

One thing about volume offset is it's not going to let you go above the maximum volume of the radio, for example if 15 is the maximum volume and you put it on 15 and then offset it plus three it's still going to be 15. You would have to have your volume set at 12 and then offset it plus three, that will give you a volume of 15 and that will be your maximum.

It's useful tool when scanning many items that have different volume outputs but you're only going to end up with a maximum of the maximum volume offered from the radio so no need for volume offset, just put it at maximum volume.

My FREE RadioFeed will work too. I don't think "Broadcast Using This Tool" supports streaming text tags but RadioFeed does.
