win 96 and denver

just got win 96 key code ect
how do i upload files now i open win 96 start button upload to computer states timed out header
my blackbagcable worked 3 months ago--what am i doing wrong????
oim coming to denver tommorow 21st to head to alb. i need to prog denver files and colorado springs if possible
