Win 97 and psr-400 problem

hello all
I am having trouble with my psr400 and my win97 program.
it works perfect with my pro97 and my pro 2055, but i get the following error message

"timed out waiting for header" but only with my psr400 gre

it did this once before, but i cannot remember how to get it to work this time.

my pc is running windows xp sp2, rs scanner cable cat no, 20-047 01a08.
my firmware on the psr400 is PSR-400_v1.04
I just was able to update my firmware with the psr400 and rs cable but i still can't get the win 97 prog to work

please help.

Are you running the most recent version (1.18) of Win97? And selecting the correct item in the Scanner menu (they changed in 1.18 to support the PSR-300/400's CPU 1.04)?

I just checked iam running vol 1.16.
Is that the problem?
I am clicking on the download/upload to psr300/400
how do i download thenew version of win97?
is there a fee involved, i purchased win97 program only a few months back.

Your not clicking on the link that says upload to scanner are you cause if you are you might need to click on the link that says up load to psr300/ 400

I know this is an old thread but...

I'm having the same issue. How did you fix it?

I openly admit that I'm terrible with these newer scanners that require computer updating and programming.
