I'm using version 2.02 on an XP PC.

I was doing some housekeeping on my win500 file for my PSR600, and trying to eliminate a horrendous bunch of duplicate frequencies.

In addition to correctly identifying duplicates, when I run the SEARCH/FIND DUPLICATE FREQUENCIES function, it lists several channels that aren't really dupes because the CTCSS or NAC is different. I do have "Dupe check includes CTCSS/DCS/NAC" option checked on the General Settings tab. So I would think that these objects should NOT be reported as dupes. Am I missing something?

The first thing you need to do is update to the latest version. 2.02 is over a year old, 2.06 is the latest release.

Win500: PSR-500, PSR-600, PRO-106, PRO-197, PSR-310, PSR-410 Scanner Software for Data Management, Monitoring, and Control

Secondly, the Dupe check includes CTCSS/DSC/NAC is a setting for the scanner itself, not for Win500. It uses that setting to determine whether a frequency you're trying to store in the scanner already exists in memory (from search, new object, etc.) The actual setting in the scanner is DupeCheckSQ and is found in the Expert section of the Global settings.

There is no setting for the Find Duplicate Frequencies in Win500 that only shows exact duplicates including the PL/DPL/NAC, it only looks at the frequency itself.
