WS1040: Win500 Error - USB

Greetings, I am getting this error when trying to push to scanner in Win500 on a 1040. I have searched and searched and cannot find anything, I have updated the drivers, set and checked comm ports and nothing. I did an OS update to the scanner using the same computer and cable.

This one, I just got it.

The cable is marked 20-546 which is an old Radio Shack cable. If you download and install Butel ARC500 software for the free trial period, there is a driver installer that should work with that cable. The Whistler cable uses a different driver. Go to the Scanner tab in ARC500 and click on Install USB Driver.
