I have win 500 using a R/S 20-047 cable for my PRO-106. it worked three times now when I try to use all I get is the following message
unable to open the USB radio scanner device
The cable is not plugged into a USB port on the computer. (duh)
the cable is already open or in use by another (or this) program
The FTDI driver is out of date for this cable.
I updated to the current driver. CDM 2.04.06 any ideas how to rectify this problem ?
I have no other USB devices plugged into my computer. both led's come on and stay on until I unplug cable
Thanks Bryon

Which version of Win500 do you have? Starting with 1.74 Don removed any com port "nonsense" replacing with auto find if a single cable is used and prompt if more then one is used.

This question may be served better in Win500 forum.
