Win500/Pro-197 help

I just downloaded Win500.

I clicked on the link for the updated driver but that goes to a broken page but give the option of downloading /Drivers/CDM/CDM 2.06.00 WHQL Certified.zip which I did and manually updated my USB Serial Port (COM4) with the drivers in that file as it didn't come with an installation.

When I try to import my scanner I get a message
"Error can'tt load the FTDI driver.
You can obtain the current FTDI drivers from http://www.ftdichip.com/drivers/vcp.htm"

That link contains the same zip file I downloaded and updated my USB driver with.

I'm new programmer scanning and am very confused.

Got this working.

I reinstalled the drivers that came with the cable. And went back to the link in the error message, and looking a little closer found the executable that installs the drivers.
http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/CDM/CDM20600.exe

All three(Win500, ARC500, and PSREdit500) are working. Now all I have to do is decide which one I like best. I'm leaning toward PSREdit500.

Try this Virtual COM Port Drivers. get 2.06 versiobn dated November, its an self extracting file

Make sure your NOT using the monitor mode in win500 when your trying to import or download or upload stuff into your scanner it won't work need to have the monitor in win500 OFF
