win500 question

can anyone tell me why after uplaoding to the scanner in win 500 with a psr500, I go to upload another set of talkgroups in a new scan list and when its finished uploading, it shows the scanner has been set back to factory defaults.

can anyone tell me why after uplaoding to the scanner in win 500 with a psr500, I go to upload another set of talkgroups in a new scan list and when its finished uploading, it shows the scanner has been set back to factory defaults.

Download from the scanner to Win500 first so that Win500 knows what settings you already have in the scanner. Then make your changes in Win500, and then upload back to the scanner. Save the Win500 file to your computer if you want a spare copy.

Each time you upload from Win500 to the scanner, it completely erases everything in the scanner, and replaces it with what is currently in Win500.
