Win500 stopped working after latest Windows 11 upgrade. Anyone else have this issue in the last day or two?

I received the latest Win11 updates this morning, and Win500 is running just fine here.

Try uninstalling, rebooting, and reinstalling using the "run as administrator" choice. If you don't get that choice, right click on the desktop icon after installation and you may also see the administrator choice there.

I ran into an issue where it couldn't find the COM port. I ran WIN500_com.exe to resolve that.

right click on the icon and then run troubleshoot compatibility, if that is not showing, then click show more options first, then it should pop up.

Tried botn, still a no go. When clicking on the win500 app it just popps up saying - loading for about 5 seconds then disappears.
This is a long shot, and it has not cropped up recently (unless I missed the comments), but several years ago, and several versions of Windows ago, DEP (Data Execution Protection was causing problems. I have not seen references to this recently, but there are a number of older threads where this cropped up.

Do a forum search & you'll see several threads (most 10 years, or longer, ago) mentioning this.

Thank you, I will give that a try.

Nothing has worked yet, as far as getting win500 working. I installed and have PSR-500/600 working with no issues. But I like win500 better. Weird!

Thank you so very much Hiegtx! Win500 now works, culprit was Data Execution Prevention.

You can also use Butel ARC500. Both ARC500 and PSREdit500 have a free trial period to determine which one you like better. ARC500 Basic is all you need to program your scanner. The Pro version provides additional logging functions.

I see you got Win500 working. Hiegtx and I both posted about the same time.
