The radio is logging the hits on the various talk groups. I believe you can turn off this feature.

Where in Philly are you? I'm a bit north of the city but lived there for many years!

It is the LCN of the system that the current conversation is transmitting on. If the scanner misses the RID it displays the LCN where you are seeing it.

That is exactly correct. The Win500 log would look similar to this:
Code:
08:20:14, 0106, TGRP , Police Records , 112, TSYS=0100, Santa Clara City, AN, 866.462500 RadioID: 2771
08:20:26, 0106, TGRP , Police Records , 112, TSYS=0100, Santa Clara City, AN, 868.887500 RadioID: 2842
08:22:34, 0103, TGRP , Police Dispatch , 16, TSYS=0100, Santa Clara City, AN, 866.837500 RadioID: 4815
08:22:41, 0103, TGRP , Police Dispatch , 16, TSYS=0100, Santa Clara City, AN, 866.837500 00633
08:22:47, 0103, TGRP , Police Dispatch , 16, TSYS=0100, Santa Clara City, AN, 866.462500 RadioID: 201
08:22:58, 0103, TGRP , Police Dispatch , 16, TSYS=0100, Santa Clara City, AN, 868.887500 RadioID: 4785
08:23:08, 0103, TGRP , Police Dispatch , 16, TSYS=0100, Santa Clara City, AN, 867.862500 00674
08:23:22, 0103, TGRP , Police Dispatch , 16, TSYS=0100, Santa Clara City, AN, 867.337500 RadioID: 201
08:23:32, 0103, TGRP , Police Dispatch , 16, TSYS=0100, Santa Clara City, AN, 867.075000 RadioID: 4815
08:23:51, 0103, TGRP , Police Dispatch , 16, TSYS=0100, Santa Clara City, AN, 866.462500 RadioID: 201

The lines that end with "RadioID: xxx" are where the scanner was able to obtain the RadioID from the control channel. The lines that end with "nnnnn" are where the scanner did NOT get the RadioID, so it was showing the "channel number" on the 4th line of the LCD.

The "channel number" is shown as:
* MOT / P25: 5-digit decimal number with leading zeroes
* EDACS: 2-digit decimal number prefixed by "LCN"
* LTR: 2-digit decimal number prefixed by "R"

To get such results, you must have the PGM GLOB menu's "Trunking Ch#" set to "On" and "Show RadioID" set to "Yes". The RadioID, if enabled and available, will override display of the channel number.
