I'm unable to access the "Help" file on my Win95 program. Therefore I have no instructions on how to use it. I have a cable and I've downloaded from the Pro-95 and saved it. My problem is that I can't download any data from other sources( Mr. Scanner Database)or Police Call cd. I don't have Excell.
Can someone please advise how to get instructions and in general, how to I input data ?

Thanks !!!!!

Win95 is free and does not have a help file nor can you import data from a web page or CD. However, the Pro-95 yahoo group has many .p95 files which were generated by people using the scanner. These .p95 files can be downloaded to your hard drive, opened in Win95, then loaded into your scanner using the cable.

Excel is not required to use Win95 but it does help while collecting data for editing (pasting) into the program. However, the following info was copied from notepad and pasted into Win95 successfully.
Code:
CLARKSBURG01 453.18750 MOT 0.0 L
CLARKSBURG02 453.33750 MOT 0.0 L
CLARKSBURG03 453.73750 MOT 0.0 L
CLARKSBURG04 460.03750 MOT 0.0 L
CLARKSBURG05 460.30000 MOT 0.0 L
CLARKSBURG06 460.46250 MOT 0.0 L
In fact, you can highlight all of the data in this code and copy/paste into Win95.

re FILE HELP

There is a free excel type program called Open Office. This is a large download but is free to use for personal use. You may save, open or cut and paste, just like excel.

I would also recommend making a post on the RR forum for your state you live in. Chances are that there are other win 95 users out there that could help you out. A lot of times if you have something to start with you can edit to fit your needs.

Thanks MikeOz and fmom! I never realized there weren't any instructions. I've just downloaded "Open Office" and I'll experiment with notepad too. Now I can have some rewrding fun, rather than searching for instructions!
THANKS AGAIN!
