Win96 Question

I have been trying to use Win96 for two hours now with no luck. Is there a step by step guide to use this to program my Pro 96. I am stuck and have read post after post and the help guide a few times. I can not get the channels from the RR web import to my scanner. Please help with a step by step guide and I will be ever so greatful.

I was going to try to help you and 401402 but get a "server name or address could not be resolved" pop up after pressing the start button in Web Import.

Using V 1.48 Win96 and did not have this problem with prior versions. Hopefully this issue will be resolved as I frequently use Web Import.

Thanks Dwayne, I sent a note to Don just prior to my submission. I'll try replacing my 1.48 with another download, and advise.

I am in Win96. I went under file, then web import then RR. Then entered all my info and it came up with 8 talkgroups. i highlight all these and hit IMPORT THIS SYSTEM that brings me to a screen called WEB IMPORT SETTINGS. I give it a name and leave everything else default and hit OK. Then I am back at WIN96 screen with what I chose on teh right side of the screen. What do I do from here to get them on my scanner???

Just did what you said and it said loading and scanner said cloning but when I hit scan nothing. Scanner reads All Channels Locked.

Are you programming the channles too or did you just send the talk groups?

Tell me what system you are trying to load. Give me the state, county and system.

bjblackout I see what you are doing wrong. When you was in the web import you did not put a checkmark next to the Sites. Check mark those and the Talkgroups then hit Import this system. When the new box comes up then add a name for the Bank and the bank that you want it to go in and hit OK. You should be all set from there.

I think I got it. I was just checking the talkgroups!! I highlighted everything and it worked!! Thank you so much for your patience. You are so helpful.

Can you tell me though just for my info. What is the difference between the site and talkgroups. I was just highlighting the talkgroups at first!!
