Win97 and frequencies for the Pro-163

I can program by hand the 765.4375 frequency into my 163. But, when entering the info into Win97, it defaults to 806.00000. Is this a bug in Win97. I download the current scanner into the software, but it still defaults to 806.00000 when saving it. Is it something that I am doing wrong?

hmm same happens to me, I have pro 97 & using win97 but Pro 97 doesn't cover 700mhz. So may why it will not take using the 163 also. bug or something in win97 itself.. something DON didn't bother to add or fix when the 163 came out probably

It was an "intentional" oversight... at the time PSR-300-family (including PSR-300/400, PRO-164/163) support was added to Win97, the 700MHz range was considered by [some people I'm not allowed to name] to be somewhat useless in those analog-only scanners, as most (all?) of the usage of that band is digital. However, it's certainly something I can add for the next release - I have to make changes to all of the RR-import-enabled apps pretty soon, anyway.

Just out of curiosity, what analog traffic are you trying to monitor on that frequency?
