OK, so after uninstalling and reinstalling Virtual Box under Win 11 natively, and adding the extension package before installing an Ubuntu VM, I now have a working installation of op25 on the VM. The USB is a bit flakey, but Ubuntu starts using 1.1, but not 2.0 or 3.0.

There is two ideas you could use that i can think of
1) try vmware workstation instead of VB, do you get the same results? https://www.vmware.com/products/player.com.html
2) Use rtl_tcp via Windows to feed into Ubuntu vitualbox and use the rtl_tcp option.
