Just wondering if anyone has a tried and true method running OP25 in the Windows for Linux framework. If so, What are the complete steps to do it? Is it running smooth? Is OP25 able to communicate with an RTL-SDR in the Windows for Linux framework?

WSL2 still has a long way to go in that you'd have install a number of software components to enable USB communications with the SDR
and to get basic audio functionality. You'd be way better off to use VirtualBox of similar applicaton host Ubuntu or Mint as a VM to build
and run op25.

I haven’t tried op25 but I do run trunk-recorder in WSL. It works fine, the only trick is using rtl_tcp in windows to attach to the sdr over usb, then connect to it as a network source in WSL. This lets you not bother with getting the usb dongle to pass through to WSL.
